While looking at high amp fuses for mounting at the batteries Ive seen three different types. They offer the standard tube types , the blade style automotive types but I noticed one at Pep Boys the other day that Im not familiar with. I cant remember the type so bare with me a bit , It looked to be made of plastic and steel with the steel ends for connecting to the holder being flat , about 1/2" x 1/2" + , with the plastic center "fuse" part being round , about the size of a nickle and may have had a small , very small window in the center of it. The flat metal body of this fuse is also the connectors where they have just notched out a semi circle on eack end for installation into and securing it in its holder. The only information on the package as far as specs go was its voltage and amp rating. The holder and a package of two fuses were very resonably priced.  Is anyone here familiar with this type of fuse "If you can pull it out of my vague description ? Im sure with a couple of key strokes anything and all can be found on the internet from manufacturers but I trust this site first with the "on hand" experience that most have.   Would this fuse be a good choice for my needs as the "first line" of protection for my batteries / cables / vehicle ,,,,,,, ?     Randy N5WV
