[Mobile-Portable] Tin vs Gold Contacts?

I might think some NO-OX they sell at Home Depot and electrical supply 
houses would do the trick. You might have to apply it often if in a wet 
environment. Personally I have had little trouble with tin contacts. I 
figured the gold plating was like some of the "stainless" steel one 
buys. There is cheap stuff and real good stuff.
