I like the wire sold by marine supply stores. If you live near any coastal
or large lake areas, these stores will be all over the place. West Marine
is one of the large chains that we have here in Conn. for example, though
there are plenty of independents too. They have several gauges on reels that
is sold by the foot. Very nice supple wire that has an exterior jacket
surrounding red and black inner conductors with nice fine stranding that you
want for flexibility to survive vibration as well as tight turns. I would
presume that it is also rated for engine compartment temperatures. It's easy
to work with too. You'll likely need to provide your own moisture resistance
with most any wire. Not cheap, but you usually don't use very long lengths.
I would advise installing a dummy wire to help plan routing. Do all of
the turns, and go through all of the same entrances. Take this wire out and
measure it. Maybe add a couple of feet for insurance, change in plans,
etc. It's way too easy to underestimate the wire length and you'll cry if you
come up short and need to splice in some extra to make up the difference.

It is said that all wire is *not* the same.
Flexibility, resistance to moisture ingress, resistance
to chemical and scuffing damage, etc. are important
variables.
Can the gathered wisdom on these two lists suggest
the best source of #10 wire for mobile apps, please?
