Hi All,
Hope that this isn't too OT, but I think that this might be the best forum
for general info on "mobile" radios.
Later this week I plan on ordering another radio for the hamshack. That
will allow me to put the Alinco DR-140 back in the pick-um-up truck. (I
strongly DISLIKE that DR-140 anyway).
I like my FT-60 HT VERY much, and for the "shack" radio it appears that the
Yaesu FT-1802M fits the bill nicely. It offers the most "bang for the buck"
(125.00 brand new).
Question: Does the FT-1802M program in a similar manner to the FT-60? The
FT-60 is MUCH easier to use than my old Alinco ever was (a nightmare to
program, miss one step and you have to start from scratch).
Any additional thoughts on the FT-1802M is also appreciated. If it works
out REALLY well I may eventually try to get another one for the truck and
retire the Alinco permanently . . .
