put the rig in cw , key it and see what you get..
if you are actually getting 100 watts ssb pep out, it may well show(on
your meter) a lower amount as the meter may not be indicating the peak
reading, but average ..the real teckies can get in to this more
I would ground the rig with a good braid,,, short path, make sure the
antenna ground is good,,not a wire, not the antenna coax.. and see what
gives.. you may well not have the problem that you think you have..
mobile is another world... but doable..and, lovable..after 52 yrs would
not be with out it
