[Mobile-Portable] Question about HF mobile

There are three possible explanations for this outcome, first that's all
the 706 will put out into a flat load.  2nd, when you used the 269 you
were in a strong RF field like a nearby AM station, that will throw off
the accuracy of most analyzers.  Third, your ground is insufficient for
HF at however much RF you're really pumping out.

First, I'ld check the grounding situation in the vehicle, then I'ld see
what the 706 put out into dummy load and wattmeter combo.  Let me note
that HF mobile isn't really all that difficult and I'm assuming you're
transmitting around the same frequency as that shown on the Analyzer.
They do work really well in most cases absent a strong external RF field.
