Before even doing anything with different mic's, have you checked your audio
levels and ALC to make sure they are enough to give you proper modulation,
but not so hot that road noise, etc., is picked up? Also, if you use a
compressor, using it very modestly (if at all) could go a long way to
improving that road noise issue. Beyond that a noise cancelling mic may be
the answer, but the trade-off may be intelligibility and frequency response.
