[Mobile-Portable] 28-volt power?

There's a company called Vicor that makes a line of switching power
supplies.  Don't know if they would have exactly what you want but it's
worth a look.  I had some gear that needed 15V DC and we used a Vicor
supply that had a 12V DC input and a 15V DC output. The Vicor supply did
a good job and held up in a mobile situation with all kinds of
temperature extremes.
