[Mobile-Portable] 28-volt power?

I have explored & experimented & proved (but not prototyped) using an auto
alternator to produce the 50-60 volts necessary for a 500-600 watt desktop
Ameritron Amp. to mobile use.
I also conceived that the output circuitry of a 12vdc to 120vac Inverter
could possibly be modified to produce 60 AC to be rectified and filtered
for the same purpose.
