[Mobile-Portable] Fascinating Accessory to Ham Gear

Isn't the aircraft band operated in AM mode, or has something changed 
that I'm not aware of?

Would it receive narrowband FM?  That would be essential for amateur
communications.  Of course, it includes the aircraft band, so it may
