         Yep, I had my TS-430S in the Dodge Caravan for many a mile 
during the time we lived in Cannon AFB housing and they prohibited me 
from having an outside antenna.  Wasn't fun, but I occasionally was 
able to work something with it.  I used an IIX mount to hold the 430, 
a Yaesu FT-690R2, Kenwood TM-201 and 401, Radio Shack scanner, 
Regency MX-7000 scanner, and a cell phone.  That IIX mount is quite 
the strong piece of gear.

         My Caravan looked almost like one of those "Russian fishing 
trawlers", and you should have seen the looks I got going through the 
gate to get on base, especially if I was to jabber a bit of Russian 
at the guard!  LOL!
