[Mobile-Portable] Looking for a REAL remote HF rig

Hi Don --
Take out a piece of paper and make a tic mark on every 
answer you get which refers you to the ICOM IC-706, the 
706MKII or the 706MKIIG.  I'll bet you'll need a pretty big 
piece of paper since that rig answers every requirement you 
made:
control head for up front
extra long cable for separation of rig and control head
microphone attached to control head instead of rig body
HF and VHF operation
great rig
available used for under $600
etc
etc
ect.

You can't beat the 706.  Now how many others will tell you 
the same thing?
