         You can find an oblique reference to one at 
http://www.eham.net/forums/MobileHam/3263 .  Sounds like it was an 
early motorized antenna, from the 1950's.

         More info at http://www.eham.net/forums/mobileham/5207 --  a 
reference to the Swantenna actually being an Autenna.
