Isn't the "increased" bandwidth a good indication that there are more
losses in the antenna?  The less loss, the more likely the SWR bandwidth
is to be very narrow on 75 meters.  I can't think of any way of winding
a slightly larger coil with larger wire  that will be more efficient
than one spaced slightly better.
