Radio Shack sells a 20-buck filter that is inserted in the 12v power  lead to 
the fuel pump. Splice it in as close to the fuel pump (which is in the  tank) 
as you can. On my 97 and 2002 Yukons, it was a gray wire. Solved my fuel  
pump noise pronto.
Be sure to make sure you have a good ground between the case of the filter  
and the vehicle frame.
