[Mobile-Portable] Mobile Antenna Grounding

Usually, or at least in the past, I've known what to do but I've got
a challenge now that could be solved if there are any ideas out there
about grounding an HF antenna mount. Here's the situation. On my new
truck I have a heavy duty, tubular, ladder rack. I made a mount for
my HF antenna, knowing full well that the ladder rack (being bolted
to the truck bed side rails) was - more than likely - not a good
source for "chassis ground". Turns out this is correct as I am
getting a significant amount of RF back down the tx line on certain
bands, especially 80/75 meters and on 10M. I'm certain the problem
is the lack of the mount's access to chassis ground. So, any ideas
as to what to do about this - any prior solutions out there? The
distance from the mount (on top of the ladder rack) to anything
approaching a possible chassis ground solution is about 5-6 feet.
Short of running a 6" wide copper strap down from the mount to the
chassis - which would be one ugly solution - any other ideas?
Thanks, Owen, K3CB
