This is very true. Resonance of the system is directly related to the
relationship between the top whip and the body of the vehicle. Stopping it
from waving around in the wind will keep the overall system a bit more
stable as far as resonance... Stops the HF mobile QSB that you sometimes
hear on the bands because the rig is folding the power back...
