[Mobile-Portable] Spring -- no-spring mobile mount

For what it is worth I have been using a SGC 237, 102"
whip with a trunk lid mount K400.  At a recomendation
when I had the SGC 239 tuner a 6" spring gave me the
additional omph [non-technical term] to work from 40
to 10 meters.  

Now that I have switched from the '239' to 237' the
102" whip allows me to work 80 to 6 meters.  But the
point I want to make is, I have [based on comments
from list] removed the spring and the tuner does in
fact seem much more stable while driving [changing
speeds].   While it does tune an re-tune a bit, not
like before with the spring waving around!
