I plan to use my 706MKIIG in the shack and in the car, so need to be able to quick
disconnect the rig and control head.

1. Does anyone have suggestions on how to use the Icom MB-63 Mobile mounting bracket
to make a "quick disconnect" mount for the rig in a sedan trunk? (I'm thinking the
easiest solution is to hack saw to open the holes to the end flanges of the bracket
that attaches to the rig body so that they are slotted and open at the ends, leave
the mounting screws in the 706 chassis, slip the rig into them in and tighten).

2. Any suggestions how to mount the 706 control head for quick removal using the
MB-62 Bracket and not mar the dash or center console in a sedan?
