[Mobile-Portable] 706MKIIG,AH4 Tuner, 102 in. whip, Followup

Regarding my posting using a 706 MKIIG, AH4 Tuner &
102  in CB whip I have been asked if I have tried to
tune and work 75M with it.  Yes, that setup will tune
up on 75M and I can work strong stations such as net
controllers.  I have checked into 75M nets with it,
but it is asking a little too much of the 102 in. whip
to be very efficient on 75M transmit.  However, in
both vehicles where I have that setup I always carry
about 50 ft. of stranded 14 ga(or 16 ga) wire with
heavy duty alligator clips.  On any outing where I
stop for awhile I clip on the 50 ft. of wire to the
end of the whip and tie it off to a tree or something
nonconducitve.  With that I can tune up ALL HF bands
and work most stations I can hear.
