Update: I got a E-mail from the committee asking for help covering the 
bike course of the event and any additional help would be greatly 
appreciated.  I would like to see a good turnout so that we would get 
ask to help out in the future.

I found out this weekend that there is a duathlon (Run-bike ride) in
Alexandrian on Saturday September 1st. I spoke with one of the event
organizers about their communication need for the event.  I would like 
to see how many of our members would be able to volunteer for this 
event, before I make a full commitment to them.  I know for some people 
this would be a long drive; but I would appreciate any support that you 
can give me.

This is their second year of organizing this event and I think our 
services could be of use to them.
