For those who've been following this saga, I just finished installing a new (to me) TailTwister and confirming that it works.

Thanks to everyone who offered help, K0BUD, K0TO, AC0W, AC0X, K0TVD, W0BV, W9CLA, N0ODK, K0AD, K0GX, K0EOO, and especially Paul WG0G who made me a "heckuvadeal" on a spare T2X that he had collecting dust.  (If I missed anyone, my apologies!)
