KM0D, "Max", has served us for the past 10 years as the ARRL Section
Manager, but has decided not to run for another term. Every hamfest has
found him and members of his cabinet manning the ARRL booth and mingling
with members, every flood/tornado/whatever found him and his EC people
serving the people of Minnesota, and behind the scenes he and his cabinet
have been quietly advancing the cause of Amateur Radio in our state for a
decade.

Thanks, Max! Enjoy your 'retirement'.

To replace Max as SM, we have the choice between two faces familiar to many
of us. Tonight at the TCDXA meeting (check us out at http://www.tcdxa.org)
we had brief presentations by both candidates, Skip Jackson, KS0J
(http://www.skipforhams.com) of Inver Grove Heights and Chuck Gysi, N2DUP,
(http://www.RadioHams.net) of Rochester.

This is the first time in over 30 years (if memory serves) that the ARRL
members in Minnesota have been favored with a 'contested' election for SM.
Check these fellas out at their web sites, ask them questions (their email
addresses are available at their web sites), and everyone return your
ballot when ARRL sends them out later this summer.

73, de Hans, K0HB
