The MMRCG Military radio Net went off today at 10:00 eastern.  Had nine stations checking in on 7.296 USB with good representation of Harris gear again.
N2MS was first at bat running a K3, W8ZJT was booming in on a Harris RF-5800 set up, WF2U on a RF-350K and 355 amp, KE8ULR on a Sunair 9000 instead of a Harris, KD2GIY from the field in a cold S-250 shelter, K3TZJ running a Harris RF-350K 355 set up first round and a Datron PRC-1099 second round. Extra credit (fifty points) for operating two different radios in the same net, KC8KSK running just five watts from another cold S-250 shelter but being copied all up and the east coast on just that and the vertical. W1NZR running a Harris RF-350K and W1ZFB coming in just under the wire at the end of the net running a PRC-47
That's five Harris radios counting NCS running my Harris Falcon (RF-5020) set up or more than half the net running Harris gear, Think it may be the first time I worked a 5800 on that net, good sounding radio.
AB5GG was in there but was not able to work him directly. We also had a RTTY Net before on 7087 where Harris was well represented by stations running RF-350K and 355 set ups and I had my big Harris rack R-2368/RF-1310-1110 amplifier online for that. Did try 5403.5 M&S Net at noon and was able to work N2MS and hear a couple other stations I was not able to work NCS directly.
