Not sure why my Huntsville link posted twice, only sent it once.  The pictures of the vendors raise a lot of questions for me, and those questions are about why the Shelby NC Hamfest used to look like Huntsville in the covered areas, plus hundreds of sellers in the fields, now it is just a remnant. The vendors do not even bother to show up anymore, and have not for several years.  Shelby did some stupid things a few years ago, the fest moved to Dallas, NC, a lot of folks thought it was a better venue, it had more trees.  But then it migrated back to Shelby after they got rid of the awful town of Shelby events coordinator that caused the fest to leave in the first place.  The area used for the Shelby fest is approx. 30 acres and all buildings were full and every square foot of land had somebody selling something.
