Sorry to laugh.  It sucks when something cool gets f@#$ed up in transit.

Once I got an RMCA AR-8506 via UPS, and the box was a sphere at delivery.  I think it waas single-boxed with styrofoam peanuts. The shipper did use PLENTY of tape.   Luckily, that thing is built like a brick s@#$house so there was only a little dent in one corner of the shock-mounted base.   The plastic dial cover survived.
