It's an ILS localizer receiver. The up down indication is driven by the glide slope receiver. As long as it has the correct crystals, it will still work at airfields that still have the traditional ILS system.

Not much good for anything but poking around just for fun. However back in 1959, Ken Grayson did an article in CQ on easily converting to 2 or 6 Meters.

All neccesary accessories including plugs, control box, and 2 indicators... one NIB (Left/Right needle on a single meter plus an Up/Down needle to be connected to an altimeter). Also a copy of the manual, Army Air Forces T.O. 08-10-104
