The LF-MF RAK and the HF RAL were probably the best TRF-Autodynes (regen) ever built.  An RAL will even do SSB on 20-meters.

One of the things which always amazed me about the RAK was that the selectivity is so good that it has nearly perfect "single-signal" reception: the "other side" of zero-beat simply doesnt exist.
