I know I said I would stop but just cant help it! 1977 “A Bridge too Far” directed by Richard Attenborough that although only has one scene set in the radio shop full of WS-19 sets provides a good example of the limitation of HF AM radios
and short antennas along with classic example of military planning for not having the right crystals for the air to ground radios.

The movie "Destination Gobi" 1953 with Richard Widmark IMO accurately shows in operation a TBW xmtr and RBM rcvrs along with the large Radiosonde rack mounted set .This all situated in a tent in the Gobi desert. NAVY wanted a remote weather
station set up there. At one point Widmark goes out to check on the generator, the 120vac 800 cycle generator.
I went to to see the 2019 movie Midway..I liked the movie..but had the chuckle to myself when a scene with I think was Halsey in a office..and just barely seen in the background was
BC 610E all.by itself....at least it wasn't the post war
