I’ve always wondered what a FET conversion would do to the accuracy of the calibration book. Yes, that *assumes* the target device actually still has a book that is accurate.
Of the two, I think I’d go for converting an LM over a BC-221.

I think an article on BC-221 or LM FET replacements for the tubes, was in 73 Magazine. I have the article - "somewhere". Nowhere near as involved as any complete receiver replacement. FET means "Filament Eliminated Tube."-Hue MillerSent from my Galaxy
