While i'm in a pissy mood, let me mention, and the statute of limitation has run out: way back, maybe even back to 1995 A.D., i answered an ad in E.R. This was some E.R. advertiser maybe in Texas that specialized in Collins. So i bought a BC--348-C, one of the ones i like, with no LF band. So anyway i get it, and it looks like it had been stored under the back porch for a few decades. How could te seller be so d* blind ? Fortunately now we all have these portable phone camera devices. Altho i admit i was recently chagrined at the condition of a collectible book i bought. My vision is corrected by lenses but i have to wonder, people don't see the same things ? I actually thought of writing  an article for the state antique radio club on some of these more memorable "fails". This happens a whole lot less in the collector community, of course; we all become picky and develop an eye for "not right".
