I have always thought the BC-474 to be one of the most interesting and fun mil radios in existence.

They are just so cute.

I have been watching for one that would be available at a "reasonable" price.

So far (after many years looking) no luck, but I haven't given up yet. I'll keep looking.

I really would love to be able to show the young hams how well "basic" radio can work.

I had even thought about building a replica, at least a "work-alike" one, anyway.
