So, that seems to say that the ARC-1 was the first aeronautical radio used by the airlines. Hmmm...

I didnt think that radio techniques were that far advanced, that early.

I was given a non-working ARC-1 by MARS many years ago. I thought it was a marvel. I eventually got it working and was quite impressed with it.

Except for there being almost no 2 meter AM activity around here, I wouldn't mind having another one.
