A fellow tech at one of the regional Bell children told me how she had repaired a floor lamp circuit using "liquid solder", which came out of a tube, like toothpaste, i gather. I was totally flummoxed at first, but later i had a good laugh about it. File this together with the Heathkiit "elbow spaghetti" story.
