Mike and Ken,A few years ago an ebay seller in Poland was selling BA-386B battery holders for the PRC-77 - they hold 10 D cells. Unfortunately they do not have the 3 volt tap for the PRC-25. One of my PRC-77s from Japan came with a battery adapter that holds 4 18650 batteries and does have the 3 volt tap (with in-line resistor) so I can use it with my PRC-25 as well. It appears to have been 3D printed and is the same size as a BA-5598 but of course has much less capacity than the BA-5598 primary cell. Its label says: SBI Co Ltd. Tokyo, Japan.Hope this helps.&3,Clare. Subject: Re: [Milsurplus] PRC-25 and '77
A friend, Lt. Col. Army (retired) and a ham, has recently come into the posesssion of one PRC-25 and two PRC-77s
He would like to put them to work and has asked me for help.
I have downloaded and printed the op and service manuals for both and, at this point anticipate minimal problems getting them operational.
He wants to install a '77 in his restored M151 MUTT, and the other '77 in his shack.
He has given the '25 to me.
So, is there some sort of forum dedicated to these rigs? I would like to find more information on using them.
Can anyone here suggest such help?
