Here, I have both the Collins URC-93 and the more famous ECI (Raytheon) WSC-3 that were replacements for the URC-9. The advent of Satcom (Duplex) made the URC-9 obsolete. Collins also supplied the WSC-1 and the WSC-5. I have a few WSC-5 pieces here. All these radios are duplex and some use very large highly directive antennas.

After yesterday’s discussion about the AM1565 and the SRC-21 I pulled the URC-9B manual off the shelf and scanned it in. I thought I had already done it. Anyways, it’s not the greatest due to the original probably being a ditto machine and this is a copy of that. It’s hard to read but interesting. The URC-9B used the same case and equipment but was solid state and had FM also.
