Dave, Your series cap looks like one of the Russian capacitors available on EBay. Where seller did you use? Mike N2MS ----------------------- Hello, Mike. Been a long time since I bought these. I think they were from Bulgaria. One of the old Soviet satts. They were variously named "doorknob" or "High Voltage" caps. I don't see any exactly like them on Ebay right now, but there is good news: For 80 meters, any value from 75-200 pFd will work. 50 to 75 pFd for 40 mtrs. Also, quality 3KV disc ceramics will work as well- just key, tune and hold for a few seconds. If the Ceramic cap heats up, it's no good for RF. Tip: Don't buy the epoxy-dipped blue or red from China. I don't know what they use for dielectric but it's useless above audio. There's a couple of doorknobs on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/115839677635 Laughable expensive. Here's some inexpensive ceramics: https://www.ebay.com/itm/116140816607 When someone uploads some to Ebay, be sure to shop around. Like many of the "boatanchor" sellers, they seem t0 think they're going to pay for their retirement by charging $80 for one doorknob cap. Re-dikker-us. Wish I had bought more. I think I have two left (gave the others away). TNX ES GL OM DE Dave AB5S.
