Just did a video on the Colins KWM-1 transceiver, so it’s not strictly a military radio but was used in early U2 flights and may have been tied into Curtis LeMay’s thought process into adaption of SSB into US Air Force use. For a radio built for the Ham radio market it has much more in common with military radios then Ham radios of that time.
