folks

I am looking to put together some vintage tool kits used by second echelon radio repairmen. PS magazines (online at Radionerds website) were a big help in this research.

Over the years the BG44 linemans bag was used as the TE41 (PS#72) from WW2 to 1962. The set had an assortment of pliers, cutters, screwdrivers, TS-297 VOM, electric soldering iron, TL122 flashlight, Williams midget electricians socket set, brush, inspection mirror and TL29 linemans knife.  In 1962 (PS #117) it was changed to the TK-115 using the Union Metal 5314 14 inch cantilever tray tool box. Tools were added including tube pullers, tube pin straightener , 85 watt electric soldering iron, Kemode non electric soldering iron using chemical slow burning cartridges.

In 1967 it was changed to the TK-101. (PS #178) Spintite nutdrivers replaced the Williams midget electricians socket set, 2 soldering irons were deleted, 55 watt W60P Weller replaced the 25 watt iron, bristol spline wrenches were added. MX991 flashlight replaced the TL122.  In 1978 the TK101 changed to a Weller GT7 soldering gun, added a jewelers screwdriver set, 100 inch-lb torque wrench,  soldering heat sink. The tube pullers were deleted. A new Stack-On 16 inch tool box with tray replaced the crowded 14 inch Union Metal box,  The MX991 flashlight was replaced by a penlight

1984 TK-101 continued with the penlight replaced by a Skilcraft 2 D cell . I could not find any information or hand receipt lists until 2018 when the TK-101 was shown in PS Magazine #790. The soldering iron was deleted and the toolbox was replaced by a 19 inch 3 drawer toolbox.

Interestingly, the one common theme from WW2 to now is the TL29 2 blade linemans knife!

So here is what I’m looking for if anyone has any of the items to sell.
