My friend John Nelson tells me when Zidell shipbreaking, Tacoma WA, was in biz, this in mid 1970s, their sales yard had

a long greasy wood table. Workmen would carry out from the ship such beasts as TCS, RBC, whatever, and plop it down

on the table without regard to what side was up. Price was $10 - $15 / a whatever.
