Yesterday I viewed the recently-opened Sullenberger Aviation Museum (previously the Charlotte NC Aviation Museum)
I was told this museum is now associated with the Smithsonian, my ticket cost $20 (as a Senior and Vet)
The centerpiece is the USAIR Airbus that Capt. Sullenberger and team safely landed in the Hudson (no loss of life) and a 7 minute presentation that runs continuously in the center of the building
Other aircraft and displays are scattered all around inside the main building and also outside.
One of the displays has the uniform and personal effects (including part of a German aircraft wing brought home as a trophy) of Col Elliott White Springs who was a WW1 Ace from Lancaster SC…
No radios seen but I thought some might enjoy these pictures and the video…there was an interesting display of an early Navy radio-controlled military drone and its shipboard control panel.
