I was going to sell this Marconi CP-24 for the local ham radio club, but i just got to looking at it. It’s 10W PEP 1.6 – 15 MHz
SSB. It’s about as big as a transistor VHF boat radio from the same era, not real big. The circuit board is simple to get to
everything – what a surprise. I could only see one crystal, 4620 kHz, and there is one more and two slots blank. There are
2 tuned circuits so each 2 crystals have to be in one “band”. There is the bag, handset, antenna with adjustable loading
coil, ground wire and stake. I have the schematic, that’s all. I think i “could” rig up a DDS VFO for one or two bands, say 40
and 20, the phone portion only. I do not need another project ! What do you think ? Keep or keep to my job#1 ?
