In the navy MARS program we were issued equipment that was still accountable.
If we requested cannibalization authority and were granted same, we had to turn in the equipment tags.
I guess this was to prevent the selling of equipment?

I'm currently working on a Navy RBH that's missing the tags on the top of the cabinet. The screws are still there, but the tags are long gone.
