The Navy had a post-war program refurbishing gear at the shipyards, but I’ve never seen paper labels from there. I dunno. Another boatanchor mystery!!

Just a guess …. while the labels seem to be nicely done, I don’t think they are “Navy issue”.  They didn’t hold up very well on the shelf. In any real use situation they would not have lasted very long at all.
