My 24 gauge portable wires are while and blue. No stripes.
My inverted V dipole at home is 16 gauge purple. It does get noticed.
The inverted V at home is supported in a tree and the ends go to other trees. I affix the ends through the end insulators with tie wraps. If the trees flex or a branch breaks the wire does not break but slips out of the insulator It's gone through a couple of storms with this setup. I've had the ends slip out twice of times but no breakage.
