That WRR-3 was a “Boatanchor Express” delivery. Seller in PA and buyer in SC. Seller delivered it to a NC buddy at the Berryville VA hamfest. It was later transferred to me and I hauled it to Shelby and handed it over to the SC buyer, an ex-submariner who wanted one like he used to have on his SSBN. 

Glad you enjoyed the photos. Cellphone cameras do a great job these days. I just take quick snapshots while wandering around the hamfest.

The most interesting item to me was the very first photo of an R-1134B/WRR-3 VLF/LF/MF receiver (14 to 600 kHz in five bands).  I've owned one for 25 years and IMO it is the best surplus receiver for that range fof frequencies that has ever been available.  There was one on every ship including submarines on into the 1980s.  On USS Intrepid one monitored 5OO kHz.  The one on my SSBN was just a standby set...submarines were not required to monitor 500 kHz.  It is 100 percent miniature vacuum tubes and very serviceable.
