I have a couple beat up ones from which i plan to extract the high L audio choke and tuning cap. One has the window totally opaque. But i thought that was from damp storage, not sun? What think ? Or is it just due to varied exact composition of the plastic used?

Which makes me think of 'sticky disease' and how quickly some modern products succumb to it.
