It's surprising how much of this stuff is still around after 80 years. But really, what can you do with a BC-645 anyway?

IFF and RADAR were crucial for WWII, but largely useless for civilian experimenters. I suspect most of that gear was eventually scavenged for parts or just sat on a shelf.

One section caught my eye: magnetron magnets. I built a nuclear magnetic resonance demonstration setup for an AP chemistry project in high school, based on a writeup in Scientific American.

Kinda wish now I hadn't tossed out all my John Meshna catalogs when we moved 35 years ago.  Still have a good assortment of Fair Radio though.
