NSA has a KY-38 or two at the museum, think they may also have a KY-8 thinking that may be the box that went with the VRC-12. May be worth a trip over to the museum next time in town to take a look. Would be a lot of fun to try setting up a QSO between a couple radios running first generation NESTOR technology, think all that sort of stuff is no longer considered secure or classified now, don’t know about the KY-57 VINSON but think last I saw anything about that they say its also no longer classified too.

Think the appeal of the NESTOR box is that it appears to use a paper or punched load card or something like that and did not require a dedicated load tool like later systems.
