I have only seen two, one in Germany around 1971.  It was in the MARS storage locker but was never used while I was stationed at Zweibruken AB.


The second was in the flea market at an AWA meet in the mid 1990;s.  It had no tag so it was sold as an R-390.  Every time I made a pass through the flea market, it was seen at a different table!

Sure looks like it, Jim.  I don't think I've ever seen an R-391 until you mentioned it.

The photo looks strange but they they are all R-390 or R-390A.  There is something mounted above them.  Maybe a TTY demodulator.  I am not sure.
